Joining Great Minds
If you would like to join Great Minds but are not yet part of a health study, the easiest way is to sign up with Join Dementia Research. This is a registry which offers simple ways to join research studies. You must be aged 18 or older. Once you have become a member of the Join Dementia Research registry, you will be offered the opportunity to join Great Minds.
It is an easy 2-stage process which is safe and easy.
Stage One
To volunteer you first need to register to help dementia researchers through Join Dementia Research. The questions asked during their registration will determine the types of studies you will be matched to including Great Minds. This is the most common way for people to join our register. Others who are already part of a health study may also be contacted with news about Great Minds.
Stage Two
Join Dementia Research will give you a list of studies you could be suited to – including Great Minds. By clicking on a link you will be guided through to the Great Minds sign-up page.
For many people the appeal of Great Minds is that YOU stay in control. You choose which studies you support and which assessments you are willing to take. Volunteers who join regularly complete online questionnaires and assessments that improve researchers' understanding of changing brain health. As more and more people join us and volunteer for new studies and trials we'll start to make breakthroughs and stop dementia before it starts.
